March 8, 2019—PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA.— Caring Friends Home Care is delighted to welcome Jennifer Seehra as its new executive director. Seehra brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in senior services to Caring Friends Home Care with a strong commitment to making a difference in people’s lives.
“It’s wonderful to be with Caring Friends Home Care, a company whose values and commitment to excellence are so aligned with my own,” commented Seehra. “The bonus is that the Philadelphia area is my home and it feels great to be back.”
Seehra is the daughter of Nianna Gannon and the late beloved sportscaster Hugh Gannon. She has spent the past several years in Canada in leadership positions at companies focused on caring for older adults. Most recently, Seehra was the area manager in greater Toronto for VitalAire, a home health care company which provides specialized services for patients with chronic lung conditions. Prior to joining VitalAire, Seehra was the general manager of the Chartwell Robert Speck Retirement Residence in Mississauga, Ontario.
“Jen is a natural leader who brings a wealth of experience in the senior healthcare market to families across Greater Philadelphia,” said Andrea Cohen, founder and CEO of HouseWorks, the parent company of Caring Friends Home Care. “As someone who is caring for her own mother, Jen understands the importance of providing reliable, compassionate care for clients and their families.”
A 1999 graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, Maryland, Seehra strongly believes that our front-line caregivers are our most important assets. “The more we support and care for our Caregivers, the better care they can provide for our clients.”
